In this overall grayish low saturation space, the designer Yu Yu Chu utilized the combination of paintings and furniture colors to define the balance between spatial atmosphere and the space itself. This space mixed with virtual and reality corresponds with spatial extension to linear performance, in which the segments between spaces are accurately defined, while substantial physical barriers are being removed. What a genius design.
This residential house design stands out with its unique properties and strengths. The integration of open and transparent materials and interfaces as multi-perspective extensions creates a sense of openness and connectivity. The moderate tone of wood blends seamlessly with stone materials and glass materials, adding a touch of glamour. The expensive classic furniture adds a well-textured modern and classic style, while ceiling marbles introduce a sense of mildness.
With a total area of 166 square meters, this design showcases the designer's attention to detail and technical specifications. The use of slim and calm tones, along with humanitarian undertones, defines different spaces within the house. The calm and slim attributes create an atmosphere of tranquility and elegance.
The project was completed in March 2018 in Taipei City, Taiwan. The design team, led by Chu Yu-Yu and Chu Yi-Hung, conducted extensive research to create a comfortable and beautiful space. The integration and application of various media, such as fabric, wallpapers, and wood crafts, express different styles of recreational fields in this metropolitan environment, shaping the essence and category of humanitarian and metropolitan spirits.
Defining space with simplicity was one of the challenges overcome in this design. The use of blank backgrounds supplemented the decoration, materials, and lighting, emphasizing the small amount of colors dotted within. The elegant appearance and colors provide an appropriate coated tension for this place, creating a visually appealing and harmonious environment.
This unique residential house design, blending classic style with virtual and reality, was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2019. This prestigious award recognizes well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The design is respected for integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings, contributing to a better world.
